      Now, campus network operators divide many virtual LANs, private VLANs (PVLANs), and even many Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) instances throughout the campus. In the data center, the entire enterprise campus network is spread across various types of tenants handling different applications, such as IP-enabled HVAC units, telephony, video, and building control. In addition, different types of traffic need to correspond to different networks, such as office traffic and critical business traffic, student traffic and instructor traffic. Each tenant can handle different applications, and ultimately, these policies can be deployed separately or as a whole.
